Every UK government construction project, be it for civilian or defence results in disastrous delays and spiraling increase in costs. The US is apparently the same. Yet nobody is held responsible for these cockups. Why is this, how do they get away with it? It's very unsettling especially right now!

The why is time. These projects go on so long there is nobody who sees them through from end to end. As a result nobody can fairly take the blame add to that the MoD is inconsistent and incompetent and has no idea what it’s doing half the time and there you have it. That in fact is what the select

How much time and money did the Select Committee spend to come up with a report that states the "bleeding obvious"? Their answer could also apply to any Civil Service department of any ministry. The NHS is an obvious contender, but so is our Cornwall Council who are currently in debt £1.3 Billion!!!
