Final boss of capitalism manifests in school: The US industrial school system is built on the Prussian military model. Its goal was always to create compliant workers who will sacrifice their autonomy, bodies, life hrs to the machine of capitalism. We have excellent educators but a wretched system.

This is up there with benefit claims being disallowed because appointments were being missed. They were missed because claimants were in hospital, even unconscious in intensive care. A lot of western school systems were designed to mass produce workers for corporations.
If they want to play semantics we've all called out when we weren't really sick too.
Have there been some alternate models worked for both students and educators that have produced good students and good people for society and stuff? was wondering if those were and are ever really talked about in pop culture as something else to consider instead of the capitalist system we live w/🤔🤷♂️

I wonder how I would have gotten to school while I'm traction for a femur fracture in seventh grade and in a body cast for another femur fracture in eighth grade. My school did provide visiting teacher supervision. Will today's schools provide that? I have never, ever used less than 15 sick days.

Wow, so what about essential surgery? I had my infected appendix removed when I was in 6th grade. An appendectomy is a life saving procedure and recovery time from something like that is at least a week if you're lucky. Are we really going down the path of just letting kids die? This policy is evil.
I had mono is hs and missed more than a month of the last part of school. No longer contagious, but still moving very slowly, I came in at the end of the year to drop my finals off and say goodbyes to my teachers and they were all like why are you even here, you're sick go home. Health matter more.
MAHA means spreading disease and culling the "weak". Mishandling covid already saw a big dip in already declining US life expectancy.
Oh yes, because America has such a healthy boundary between their personal health and their work life that we should inflict that on children. a second grader absolutely should be forced to endure, having strep take it to school and give it to all the other children and staff. Fuck these people
