Communication online is actually totally like that tumblr post: "Their reading comprehension is piss poor." "So you're saying we should piss on the poor? How dare you!"

At the best of times this is irritating. Now, when everything's on fire, we KNOW they have something better to do than being semantic and cherry-picky. Imagine all the work they could be doing with that wasted time. It's nice to see you back, Angela. I hope you're well.
This is too funny and too true.
Yes but the reason why the person is mad varies from site to site. On Tumblr it's 50/50 if it's because they think pissing on the poor is bad vs that they're not the one getting pissed on and they would very much like to be
People still use Tumblr? Did I fall into a time vortex back to 2012?
I had this happen to me on reddit. They mis-read what I wrote, and thought I meant the opposite. Language is hard sometimes, even harder without a tone of voice, even harder when everyone is skimming posts and making massive assumptions. Facebook users are still the worst, though.
FB is just FULL of bots now. It's sickening! I'm ready to delete my meta accounts entirely. (Just gotta download some pics 1st) Zuck lost the normal crowd the day he decided to obey in advance. No more fact-checking, etc. Also, different rules for certain types. You know what I mean.🤮 Not worth it.
It was shit with angry boomers before the bots. My own dad became such a malignant troll, we are no-contact now. And every comment section on every local news article is replete with trolls and conspiracists. Some are bots now, but this has been happening way before bots. FB brings out the crazies!
So Spot F'ing On.
