I'm starting a sleepless night, watching over a sick son and making sure another wakes up on time for school in less than five hours. That means one thing.

Hope your son feels better soon.
He's absolutely fine now π
Hero. Dune?
Hero Dune sounds like a spin-off.
I started with Fargo π
Youβre watching this while caring for your sick kid? Oh, fer cute.
He's 10, so "caring" is just not being asleep lol
Can you insert a Minnesotan accent into your French? π
I'm the worst human at accents - even French ones. π
The bar at the beginning of the movie was owned by my wife's grandparents at the time. It's the closest I'll ever get to being famous
wow that's a cool story! That's why the movie is titled Fargo!
Tinucci's? My in-laws are from Cottage Grove, and whenever they bring up Tinucci's, they bring up Fargo, and vice versa. Thanks to your wife's grandparents!
The bar was actually in Minneapolis, called the King of Clubs
What a great movie. Great soundtrack by Carter Burwell, great cinematography by Roger Deakins, great Frances McDormand, William H. Macy, Steve Buscemi, Harve Presnell, and Peter Stormare. Great, great, great! (I love Noah Hawley TV show too π That's the only reason I'm interested in Alien Earth)
It takes me ages to choose another movie. π There are so many classics to rewatch. I'm taking advantage of not having any TV shows to follow lately (apart from Murderbot) to watch as many movies as possible. I also really want to keep playing The Alters, but I promised my son I'd wait for him. π
The not having TV shows is a drag -- Revival started last Thursday - The Lady who played Wynonna Earp , Melanie Scrofano is the lead . I have not watched epi 1 yet & it is not space related but it is something . People rise from the dead but they are not brain eating Zombies .
Reminds me of a Master of Horror episode.
One of my greatest CD finds ever was a soundtrack CD that had both Fargo and Barton Fink soundtracks!
To think there is a Noah Hawley Trek movie just waiting to be made somewhere... :|
Marge Gunderson:So, that was Mrs. Lundegaard on the floor in there. And I guess that was your accomplice in the wood chipper. And those three people in Brainerd. And for what? For a little bit of money? There's more to life than a little money, you know. #francesmcdormand #coenbrothers #movies
Wife's in the hospital still, so dinner and a movie here. Checked and found D+ has TOMORROWLAND! Geeking out to some Brad Bird goodness.
I hope she's fine! Oh yes, my sons wanted to watch it recently. Probably in the coming weeks.
Fargo really captures the feeling of winter in the northern Great Plains of the US and Canada. Cold, flat, windy...
I dream to visit it. Since 1996 and Fargo :) But not with this administration. Later.
Most of the action was in Minneapolis - which is a great city. Fargo is not a big tourist draw. If you want the frozen hell experience, Winnipeg in January will do the trick without any worries about what's happening south of the border.
Be sure to grab a plate of that chicken fricassee.
Go bears.
I just watched Warfare. It's pretty good.
We watched Cars with my youngest, when he was sick one night and it became a family obsession. He was 4 or 5 at the time and loved it. We rewatched it the other day with him (now 17) and he was amazed that we knew nearly all the words!
Hope he feels better soon! I got through so much of my to-watch list when mine was small and too colicky to sleep π
It reminds me when they were small! Now it's so rare to stay up late.
Moon...Blade Runner...I dig falling asleep to those.
