I think that most organizers recognized the threat of it but time is limited and a genocide was happening at the same time that needed an organized opposition

Given the current circumstances, that choice ultimately didn't work out. I'm not saying that trying to influence Democrats on Gaza was wrong, but certainly a cost/benefit analysis had to be done with respect to choosing to ignore GOP goals and the consequences of their implementation.

At least acknowledge that Biden was actively pushing for a ceasefire deal. As far as I know, the one that was implemented was negotiated under Biden. Netanyahu pushed the implementation back so Trump could take credit, or so is my understanding of the situation.
