I think that most organizers recognized the threat of it but time is limited and a genocide was happening at the same time that needed an organized opposition

Given the current Project 2025 carnage, I can't help but think that that was a serious error.
Given the current carnage, it looks like Harris refusing to condemn an ongoing genocide & commit to doing what she could to stop it, including refusing to arm it, was a serious error. Take it up with her.
I don’t think that opposing a genocide was at all an error- I think more people should have done it and the grave error was they chose not to
I am saying that ignoring Project 2025 was the error. Democrats don't exist in a vacuum. Republicans also have agency.
Sure but the reason why they didn’t have as many organizers working on it was because a lot of them were organizing against a genocide they were backing.
Given the current circumstances, that choice ultimately didn't work out. I'm not saying that trying to influence Democrats on Gaza was wrong, but certainly a cost/benefit analysis had to be done with respect to choosing to ignore GOP goals and the consequences of their implementation.
Id say the choice to continue backing a genocide didn’t work out for the Democrats
One thing I'd add to my statement above - the Biden administration did manage to get the current Israel/Hamas ceasefire agreement going.
Actually Trump put pressure on Netanyahu for that
At least acknowledge that Biden was actively pushing for a ceasefire deal. As far as I know, the one that was implemented was negotiated under Biden. Netanyahu pushed the implementation back so Trump could take credit, or so is my understanding of the situation.
Zero credit. If they could do it with one foot out the door, what took them so long?
Ask Bibi.
Nothing Biden did towards a "ceasefire" mattered in any way as long as he fully supported Israel every time they broke ceasefires and continued sending them billions of dollars in weapons to continue the genocide. It was pathetic, insulting, immoral, and helped him lose
Israel has not stopped bombing Gaza and has ramped up attacks in the West Bank. 40,000 people displaced. Fuck. Off.
I have to ask, what good did it do to get the "genocide party" kicked out, when it's business as usual under Trump? I suppose that you can claim some sort of moral victory (you fought the good fight, etc), but what did you achieve in practical terms?
Lmao your name is great
Kiddo, the democrats were supporting major planks of project 2025 in 2024.
Then the democrats probably should have stood on some principles instead of telling their organizers to fuck off.
