Canadian here who’s lived in the US for a long time. Once I got used to F I preferred it to C for everyday use. The rest of imperial units are terrible.

I don't think many Americans will advocate for the superiority of imperial units (how would you?), it's just what we're used to. F° is unique - imperfect for any use but it was invented with the human body temp as a consideration, and ended up with some intuitive appeal.
