I have a 2015 home and it was built with ductless mini splits. It’s not great the few times it gets really cold, but overall I’m happy. I’m sure the newest ones do better when it gets below 40.

We got ductless about 10 years about, maybe longer and honestly i dont think it really struggled. Our system is a tad oversized for home though due to some weird limitation at the time that almost none supported 3 cassettes so it was 2 or 4. For the winter the heat is so much less expensive
