It is entirely possible someone else is writing his posts and standing in as a double where if press were close enough it would be obvious. Putin has body doubles- why wouldn't his buddy? Or perhaps he has had a stroke and there is obvious facial drooping?

I don't think that administration is capable of actual strategy. I expect this will unfold as if a group of 12 year olds planned it. That being said- what exactly to we think the MAGAt population will do if it becomes President Vance? Somehow I don't expect the same level of blind loyalty.
