We put a team in Connecticut! “In Hartford, right?” Nope! “Oh, New Haven then?” Nope! “Is it close to those places?” Nope! “Uhhhh maybe that little wedge close to NYC?” Good idea! But no! “Is it on UConn’s campus?” Nope! “Is Bridgeport a place?” Biggest city in the state! Team’s not there either

I mean it made sense early when you just need an owner with steady capital that’s in a metropolis… now would be a good time to either Boston it up or move the team to the rust belt for more natural rivalries

Uncasville, CT hosting a team with less than 20K residents is very early-NFL coded ... just throw some teams wherever, they'll probably all work out!

having a casino/tribe own the team with endless capital makes sense but it’s not really necessary with the money coming in now

Had to google Oorang to see if it’s a real place and turns out to be a pretty interesting story

I wonder if the Celtics’ new majority owners or one of the minority owners just buys the team and moves them to Boston. the two organizations seem to have a good relationship already

Thank Christ. Get them to Boston. Make them more centrally located in New England. I'm in NH. Would love to take my daughter to a game but that wasn't happening there.

Moving them to Hartford or Providence would be better. We need more pro sports in second tier cities.

Providence would be great but the amp is pretty hard headed about scheduling things. A boston move could probably really get the ball rolling on a basketball only venue that’s not a Jeremy Jacob’s venture

15 years ago I would have said Hartford, as the proximity to Bristol would help the W. But the decline in relative cultural relevance of ESPN makes that less of a good move.

totally, i think hartfords draw as a major sports team market is effectively over. I just can’t imagine talent wanting to live there when the other options are major hubs. Plus like UConn already has a huge piece of that pie

It ended when the Whalers left. I do think it would be cool to have medium sized cities with pro sports teams. Or even larger ones without a men’s pro team. Let’s get Providence, Albuquerque, Louisville and Omaha pro sports teams. I wonder if there’s a benefit to being the only fish in the pond

Providence just doesn’t have the infrastructure and honestly needs a functioning east bound bridge. Kraft could add it to Kraftboro but I could see this also being a thing his son running for mayor of Boston makes his pet project

Actually should be Bridgeport if they stay in CT (highly doubtful). Arena already built, part of NY TV market, WNBA summer league in one of richest counties in the state. You'd have way more in state fan support. Boston the obvious move unfortunately though.

Step 1- Colorado billionaire moves the Sun to Denver (maybe James Leprino bc his wealth is listed as coming from “cheese”) Step 2- WNBA draft lottery rigged as reward Step 3- Denver drafts Aurora’s own Lauren Betts at #1

They did some games at TD Garden in Boston. I bet the city would embrace them up here.

Counterpoint: everywhere in CT is close to everywhere else. Hard to get to, maybe, if you don't know the good shortcut.
