I am taking issue with House Hunters claiming to have aired 262 seasons of television. If you have 262 seasons your first episode better be about a couple from 1767 trying to pay 8 shillings for a 5-bedroom house in the middle of Philadelphia that “does not fmelle of most foul city odours”

Even if you division that by 4: the number of actual seasons per per year, you're still looking at 65 years. How do you have more television "seasons" per year than actual seasons?
A relatedly weird thing is that the Catfish TV show had 99 episodes in the 8th season and that season lasted from January 2020 to May 2024 even though season 9 started in April 2024.

That’s one of those shows that a person watches but also loves to hate on. 😂 The way they would complain about, let’s say, the kitchen. My husband and I would look at it and think “Are you kidding me?! We love that kitchen!” But then we have a small colonial. Nothing fancy.

They have new episodes every weekday and have decided that each season is ~13 episodes. General Hospital, in contrast, has new episodes every weekday and is on season 62, because they started in 1963 and each year is a new season.
