Yes, but what happens if Asian products cost the same as the US product (if it exists) because of a tariff? The consumer no longer has a choice based on price. Proponents of Tariffs believe this. But, Asia will impose huge tariffs on US goods & won’t buy them. Economic isolationism doesn’t work.

They are not going to buy. Manufacturing in the US is not going to return in force like Trump is acting like it will. Trump branded products are mostly made OUTSIDE OF THE US! So, fearless leader needs to step up and lead by example. Which I said to him in a Tweet back in 2016. Lead by example
Yes, & perceived quality, warranty, brand reputation & customer experience matter in purchasing decisions. That is why customer acquisition is costly & held dear. Price as a sole predictor of behavior is too simplistic. Journalists, please ask for EVIDENCE that THESE Tariffs are helping America!
