Like, I mostly liked the video, but “Indian” isn’t a term most of us like or use except ironically (or occasionally when dealing with official agencies that still have that name) & the land bridge theory is very much debunked. You should have talked to some Indigenous people.

Wait, the land bridge theory is wrong? Then how did indigenous Americans reach the Americas, or did homosapiens manage to evolve in to completely separate parts of the world?

Answered elsewhere in this thread, but essentially it was probably boats, and the land bridge thing was meant to justify colonization & also allow white settlers to claim they’re also natives. “We’re all immigrants, you just came here earlier.”

I can see the land bridge theory being used that way, the same way some used Darwin's theory of natural selection to justify eugenics, but was it really meant to do that? And how would the boat theory not be used to do that?

Yes, it really was meant to do that. We’ve been shown to be here before the supposed land bridge emerged. If Europeans want to claim we’re not *real* natives because we sailed here, we can claim they’re not native to Europe because they walked from Africa
