Also there’s like a lot of older comedy that just doesn’t land anymore because it has outdated social references. Sometimes things need to be updated for modern audiences and social norms, what’s the big deal?

Wokeness has made it impossible to parody the contemporaries of Jesus. The last movie was filmed in 1979.

The awesome film “The Book of Clarence” (2023), starring LaKeith Stanfield and a mostly Black cast.

Also, it would be ok to say Life of Brian was really funny and also there are some pieces of it that reflected the ignorance of the times, and if we did do a remake now we wouldn’t include those bits. Really, it won’t kill you to be a little bit thoughtful.
