We wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo decided that after Super Mario Galaxy, all further Mario game music would use live instruments for orchestral instrument parts, instead of samples as had been used in previous eras.

i think my life changed forever (and i got way more interested in music) the day i learned all those orchestrated-sounding smash melee tracks are still composed with samples that are just mixed really convincingly
