Saw him in concert along with John Prine back in the late eighties. Best concert I’ve ever been to.

Nice... Goodman was a bit of a mentor to John Prine... and the two became 'brothers' of sorts and formed a songwriting partnership. They wrote "You Never Even Call Me By My Name," which became a country hit for David Allan Coe. (Prine asked that his name not be on the credits...)
