There were a lot less fireworks this 4th of July in my area which is full of cultists. In comparison to the last few years when they were probably "burdened" with extra money. I was shocked. To me it proves that things are getting worse already and even they realize it. They're not spending.

I noticed in my area this year less fireworks going off before the 4th and on the night of the 4th everything stopped at midnight and nothing since then. Saw lots of inventory left at the stands.

Surprisingly, our neighborhood was a lot more active as far as fireworks. They were popping off all around us ALL night long. I say "surprisingly" bc it's mostly immigrants here--Mexican, Turkish, Syrian and I wouldn't trade them for anything! Our worst neighbor is white 50yo MAGA on the corner.
I have neighbors who for several years continue to do exremely loud ones on all sides of us. My Yorkie hates the noise, as do I. They do it several nights in a row, both before and after whatever holiday it is. Know some are nazis by the flags in their yards.
I absolutely noticed this. The last few years it's been nonstop for about a week. Dusk to midnight. This year it was only on the 4th, much shorter time and barely noticeable. I wondered why. I guess cost could be a factor.
They were shooting them off pretty good for a little bit but then they stop at like midnight and usually they can go into like 3:00 a.m. Not this year.
Same. I only heard the 20 minutes of fireworks our town sets off. The Trumper across the street usually sets them off for days around the 4th of July. They set off zero fireworks this year. 🤷🏻♀️🤔
It's really odd. I didn't think this would happen here. They set off fireworks for everything. I heard a little bit more on Saturday and Sunday that I wanted but it really wasn't much. I'm glad though because my cat Tina wasn't too bad.
Yep. SW Nebraska here. My very small town has made a big deal out of the 4th since I've been here. There's a few families who manage to put on a good fireworks show right here in town. But not this year. This year was the most quiet and subdued 4th I've ever seen.
I noticed it here too! Usually it’s non-stop July 3rd night and all day/night on 4th. Nothing on 3rd and very, very few private fireworks on the 4th.
Same where I’m from. Usually hear small spats of fireworks at least a week before July 4th and a week after. Only heard them on July 3rd and 4th this year. It made me feel really sad for all of us.
The last two times I hit a regular spot in Manhattan, I asked the bartender how business has been this year Still getting customers, but spending less. Noticeably less
My wife is a GM of two stores and she was saying that even before. I have to ask her how it is now but she's been saying the same for a while. I think people convinced themselves that the last 4 years were horrible when they weren't and now they're really seeing how bad it could be.

Same in my neighborhood. I was scared for my little Boston terrier freaking out over the holiday. I did rain here on the 4th but, I expected tons fireworks over next few days and it pretty much never happened. Thankfully.
Good stuff. I'm glad to hear it was the same there. I hate it so much because of the animals now. I find no joy in fireworks. It's dumb and pointless to me now.

Yeah they're known to light it off at any time in this freaking area. They lit fireworks at 3:00 a.m. when he won the election. A lot of scumbags. It's almost 50/50 but they're a lot louder than the rest of us.

Yeah. My horrid trump loving neighbors usually terrorize the neighborhood with mortars until 3-4 am and this year there were no mortars at all and they stopped at midnight. They clearly haz sadz.

Same here. We live not too far from a fireworks store. In recent years it's been incessant booms for a full week and cars along the road because of the overflow from the store parking lot. No traffic problems, booms sporadic and mostly on Friday and Saturday nights.

This is about where I live too. It's supposed to be kind of 50/50 but they're a lot louder but for some reason this year they were way quieter than I thought they would be. I think they're broke and they're feeling the consequences.

My family and I were saying the same thing. Usually July 3rd and 4th are full of neighborhood fireworks etc. Not a peep on the 3rd. A little bit on the 4th but the crowd for the city fireworks was very thin, I heard.

A lot less here, too. It's usually about 6 days of fireworks driving me crazy, but that and the amount of people blowing up their money were 3 days and only at night. I was delighted.
The opposite was true here: LOTS of fireworks, and huge, commercial style ones. Many more than ever before in our residential neighborhood.
