Shocked posting weather warnings on X and Facebook didn’t work out so well That will teach those Texans…. I bet they all sign up for both social media platforms now

As a Texan living an hour from flooding in Kerrville and Georgetown, I don’t need to be taught about warnings on social media. That’s a thoughtless comment following so many lives lost.

As a Texan, you should be outraged they are using social media - primarily social media - sources for updates when they have the ability to send alerts to EVERY Texan’s cell phone - which could have been relayed to anyone who still only had land lines in the affected areas

As a Texan about an hour or two away from flooding in Kerrville, Llano, Mason, and Burnet, I don’t need your comments about alerts on social media. Austin/Travis County has sophisticated flood gauges and alerts. Some may not have heard of the Memorial Day Flood of 1981. We are all Texans here.
