The tragedy is that most Americans do see through him, but nobody seems able to stop him. Every stalwart institution of integrity and good governance is under attack and the Supreme Court has been captured by the far right. There were no guard rails equal to this level of electoral manipulation.
I’m so sorry Susan. It’s very easy for us in Europe to be looking at it from the outside. It’s perplexing to us. I can only imagine what it feels like being in America. It’s obvious that this has been brewing for the last 20 years, but Trump? How did that happen? Still , we are all routing for you.
I know it's hard to understand from Europe. From my immediate perspective, daily life goes on as before, except that everything is getting more expensive, very quickly, esp food. For Americans working 3 jobs on minimum wage, life is hitting them hard. They may soon lose access to healthcare, too.
