I was still a teenager at the time! This was when you had to go to the club or to a record store to buy paper tickets, so it's lucky that I heard about the show before it sold out.
That Waits show, is that the stage set as a flophouse hotel room? Lights go down, Stage dark, the fridge door opens, and in the yellow-light, Tom.
I credit MBV’s encore on their NYC stop of that tour for at least 25% of my (quite distracting!) middle aged tinnitus.
That show and Ministry were definitely the loudest shows I've ever seen.
