Punditry is social constipation of the commons.

I mean, those pundits were going to write critically about the camps this regime is building, but then some leftists mocked them on Bluesky and they were all like, “maybe we should give this fascism thing another chance?”

In this year of our suffering 2025, it's a mistake to rely on any single social media platform to remain robust or be financially sound indefinitely. And your individual behavior is unlikely to change anything on those fronts. So enjoy whatever you like here for as long as it lasts.

Mind you, I like a lot of things about this platform! I bought a t-shirt to support it. I would pay for a subscription to it! But I'm not going to lose sleep over how many daily posters it has or listen to arguments from reactionary pundits saying it's too woke.

From my experience here, Bluesky is what social media should be. It is not the toxic sludge I read about elsewhere.

Bluesky is designed so you can take your account with you when you leave, if you want to or need to. So it's slightly different from Twitter, who deleted my account when I said I was coming here

I'd figure most people would have learned by now that social media will always bring the loudest and most insane amongst us to the front and that you shouldn't take their crying as a sign of anything. All of this is ultimately a stupid waste of time and you're not killing or keeping alive anything .
