I’m all for taking the gloves off a bit, but completely becoming our enemy just ensures we’re all doomed. My point is, don’t issue the pardons. Make him show his face to the American people. And be prepared to fight back. Him going after people who haven’t committed crimes creates an opportunity.

Precisely. Keep playing the "honorable" game expecting there will be different results is insane. Particularly when there are direct, public threats to lives coming from the incoming administration. Biden must use his powers to slow down the fascist overtake of our country as much as possible.

These fights aren’t free of fire. While 45 he bogs up the system with frivolous charges paid for by our tax dollars, the resources that protect democracy and neoliberalism are depleted. If Democrats can’t win on messaging, it’s over. And they haven’t done a good job of that in decades.

I wasn’t talking about the previous election. Racism and - probably even more so - misogyny were definitely issues. I was talking about the future. If the side of democracy has to fork out millions in court and lawyer fees, it’s the messaging that will raise that money.
