People will die from lack of access to healthcare due to cuts and increases to premiums, people will have permanent PTSD from witnessing the cruelty and abuse towards immigrants and the continued mass shootings. People will suffer because of this Administration. Elections have consequences for ALL.💔

Children will grow up with a sense that the world is an inherently unsafe place and that adults are useless and that abuse is a normal human interaction. OUR elected governments and societies are facilitating child abuse. Gun/Arms control NOW. Vote like you hate child abuse.

My community groups are feeling the effects. Esp hypervigilance, paranoia and stress. We do have therapists helping out. Its an awful time, trying to bring basics of daily living to those living in fear 24/7. And knowing if you f**k up, just how many could be in danger. But we soldier on. Carefully.
It was hard work, getting people out domestic violence situations. Dangerous too. But we did it.The same with helping the disabled get the basics.But we did it. Helping the homeless vet get assistance. But we did it.This is different. We weren't afraid of our own government. NOW WE HAVE TO BE 😱

Honestly, I am anxious all the time, and I have not been directly impacted but have family members who have been. My niece was let go from State Department right before she was supposed to go to Europe . Their furniture is sitting in Norway at this time. 15 years at department.

I worked in Poland in 1996-97 and Russia in 1997-8 after the fall of the USSR. I was struck by the difference in friendliness of strangers to each other on the streets. Russians never looked others in the eyes or smiled. My Russian students said they learned to distrust neighbors in Soviet times.
