Imagine being such an adult child who doesn't actually have anything to whine about when one of your concerns in life is whether people you've never met 'desecrate' the American flag, an inanimate object that you can buy for like $5

The design of the American flag isn't even cool, it's intrusively busy and looks tacky. Fitting though.
Isn’t the reason people burn the flag because it does make a statement? What would be the point, otherwise. The Vietnam War protestors burned it because it represented America destroying its values. They are not whiners, they are the ones your statement is for?
The people I'm referencing as whiners are those who are currently trying to criminalize said statement made by burning it.
That is not new. The 70s are full of flag laws. I carry the flag now as a slap in the face for Trump supporters. The fact that they fight it being a symbol of free speech gives it value. They are the ones fighting freedom of thought.
You will think this is crazy, but if you are one of the few willing to put your body in the way of fascism, you would have more impact if you owned the flag they think is theirs
Most people who actually out their bodies on the line against fascism disagree with you.
I’m sure they must exist somewhere, but I’ve never seen an anarchist with an American flag that wasn’t on fire
I said you would think I was crazy. Be careful out there. I wish you a long and abundant life.
If you're someone willing to put your body in the way of fascism, you're going to burn that flag regardless because of what it stands for, and it's not free speech.
That flag represents intrinsic inequity and is a symbol of the violence and irreparable harms colonialism causes. It’s not unique in its symbolic qualities and deserves to be desecrated. It’s not something to be revered, quite the opposite actually.
The flag is not free speech. Burning it is.
