Disagree that he's a speck. He's a once-in-a-century phenomenon. It's not about smarts, because he's not that smart (obviously). It's about marketing. No one else has his messaging abilities, charisma, or slavish cult devotion. Without that, they're just 'smart' cranks that few pay attention to.

Vance, for one. He's smart but a complete crank. No one likes him. But look at all the people who try to be Trump but fail. There are so many. DeSantis is another. His appeal outside Florida is limited, and even there he's stale.
