Not in colloquial American language, which is what I'm assuming you're using on this platform. Put a different way, you ask why you'd go to such lengths to obscure mentions of Democrats. You didn't. It may have been unintentional, but you used language that heavily implies them. Then gaslit us.

If you'd like to say you intended "cross-faction" or something, say that. But people who inferred that you meant the two parties when you used that word aren't being unreasonable. Because, as others said, "liberal" as a stand-in for "Democrat" is more common colloquially. bsky.app/profile/tres...

Good god, nobody gaslit you or any of your friends. You all invented a meaning based on your far less nuanced thinking then got mad she didn’t accept your misunderstanding and spent all day nipping at the heels of a brilliant black woman bc you think you’re entitled to force her to speak like you.
