For ALL Americans this is a RED FLAG.The argument that transgender people are mentally ill solely because they are transgender is ridiculous on its face. I wonder about all the transgender gun owners,police,deputy sheriffs,and military who have possessed firearms and who have never had criminal acts
If the Trump Regime was serious about the link between "identity" and "mass shootings," the concern would be for WHITE MALES who are responsible for nearly all of the mass shootings. Targeting transgender individuals is simply the politics of demonization.
If they tried this under the auspices of public safety or mental illness, that’s a pretty solid argument to ban white males from owning them, too. I mean if we’re going to use statistics instead of just hatred

It's much more insidious than that. The intent is to scapegoat a group, much the same way that was done in Germany in the 1930s. Make a "villain" and weaponize it. First, one group. Then another. Keep people fighting each other until the takeover is done.
