Praying is a sign of a human questioning the omnipotence of the God they believe in and their own faith in that God.

It doesn’t matter what praying is. No one in the United States can be compelled to pray or participate in any religious ceremony, or affirm any belief in a God. It’s the first amendment. I would think people in government would know something about it.

Same goes for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, singing the Natl Anthem, standing, kneeling, or whatever for the Natl Anthem. All behavior that appears similar to these examples do fall under the 1st A; it is deemed 'symbolic language' (under SCOTUS precedence ruling WV v. Barnett, 1943).

I stopped saying the Pledge of Allegiance because of the added “under God” line when I was in middle school. It drove my middle school teacher insane. She used to try to intimidate me. 🤣 I feel like if a 13-year-old can understand the 1st amendment, members of the gov’t ought to.
