They were when it was tampered with. That lead to a sealed packaging process for everything. They turn your liver to mush if abused and over used I've read and now I take less T3s and just embrace the pain. I gobbled them like crazy trying to solve a nerve issue that Gabapentin finally helped.
So good to hear. Gabapentin, despite all the not very pleasant side effects, has its place in treatment of nerve damage.
I take gabapentin for a nerve problem. Never had a problem with it, happily enough.
I was fine with it for a while and then started having word loss and some brain fog issues. But in the med's defense, I'm a horribly burnt out autistic with c-ptsd and am always on the edge of Things Seeming Worse due to stress. Topiramate has been excellent for me & it has a poor rep too for many 🤷🏻♀️

I remember the tampering! I try to rotate acetaminophen/ibuprofen to keep up with chronic joint pain and nerve pain bc I eventually developed gastritis. I was on gabapentin for a while and it helped but I was experiencing worsening brain fog symptoms. I switched to topiramate which has helped a lot
My abdomen has burned and hurt for far too long. The T3s don't do much so I quit taking them. I'm drinking Pepto like crazy to no avail. Diabetes supplies all the nerve pain I can handle. Waiting for a new Doctor to repeat all the tests for a diagnosis and solution.
I have to stay on Omeprazole for the long term now but it has definitely helped too. Hopefully you get some answers and relief.
Thank you. I've been on all the zoles with no improvement or effectiveness. I did have h.pylorie that meds couldn't fix but a recent scope showed none present. I'm off pantraprazole for a breath test to recheck for what is likely the cause the Doctor may have missed. Scoped both ends. FUN 😾
w nerve pain. It's helped with some of my migraine issues but interestingly has helped with the newer nagging aura issues I was having too (as if a bright light had been shined directly into my eye like looking into the sun, and sudden burning smells. We're sure it's migraine related).
Had migraines with aura from age 20. Age of 55, I started having angina attacks. Scan/ ECG showed no macroscopic changes. Diagnose: coronary microvascular dysfunction. Treatment removed my angina, my migraines and my cold hands. Migraine can be a “stand alone” disease, but often is connected w CMD.

Actually the opposite, Amlodipin and Isosorbidmononitrate, both vasodilators. For a acute migraine, I am sure imitrix is the drug of choice.

TGN (trigeminal nerve) pain if other basic OTC options haven't helped and it will reduce it, same for an odd nerve pain in my ear (could be TGN, GN, who knows). I'll keep this dx in mind. 💖
