The scene in "Wit" where the older woman reads this book to her academic colleague, dying in the hospital -- supremely human, heartbreaking moment. The reader remarks, "A little allegory of the soul: no matter where it hides, God will find it."
This one always makes me emotional. Such a timeless comfort kinda quote π©΅

Emma Thompson's movie "Wit" about a dying cancer patient (a very cold academic) had a scene where her elderly philosophy teacher visits her when she's in hospice and reads this book to her. She says, "Oh, it's an allegory of the soul. Wherever it hides, God will find it." I'm an atheist but π
