Apropos of nothing, many local non-chain gunstores have racks of used entry level guns at incredibly affordable prices. Great for getting used to firearm ownership and safety on a budget.

Also, many ranges rent guns so you can see what you’re most comfortable with first. Just don’t get a Sig P320. I will probably draw hate for this, but there are some documented instances of them firing accidentally. Get something reliable like a Glock 19 (my personal favorite for all-around use).
