It's (at least in part) an availability bias for him -- he attracts the scolds, and is annoyed by them.

Half the post this month are people saying explicitly to not do that

But it's rhetorically useful to PRETEND that it's ubiquitous, as it buttresses a fatuous point which advances his agenda of self-promotion, and surely that's good enough to be treated as true.

This is all part of the social-issues-reactionism that Silver/Yglesias do, the idea that Clinton was to the left of Sanders, etc. Whatever you think of that argument, it's a weird thing to tag Bluesky with. People are here because Elon rigs twitter for fascism. You can't win over there.

I am stupid and have never heard the notion that Clinton was left of Sanders, so if anybody can clarify what this is about, please do!

It's also a kind of circular argument. He or TCW or whoever come here and post some tired cliche about how mainstream Democrats lose elections bc they're all in thrall to special interest extreme left wing blah blah, people here respond WTF are you talking about you idiot, then he says look, see?

Fortunately for him, subtracting Nate Silver doesn't impact anything at all.

Not that I can be objective here, but I wasn't aware of a huge collection of traits that make "normal people" want to avoid us. I think we're pretty nice most of the time, for better and god knows often for worse.
