I think his tactic is to be the “benevolent leader” who is just being a strict dad to protect the people from the “bad elements”. His problem is his ego won’t let him be humble enough to successfully pull it off

Benevolent to his racist followers, not ordinary Americans. It’s quite telling that he’s even fucking that up as well though as many of his racist followers are experiencing problems from his actions. Like I said, his ego won’t let him take the tone he is trying to convey

Normalizing a military presence in blue cities can have an effect on voting even if elections are held. But public opinion can counter that. If people hate it and see it for what it is, they’ll stand in long lines and tolerate harassment to vote.

And they'll all be carrying sandwiches, just in case they're forced to defend themselves with what the fully armed and armored militants think is 'deadly force'. 😄

It’s funny, but would be epic. I was sprayed with fire hoses and hit with batons in my youth, but we all agreed going in we were not going to meet violence with violence. It made it clear who was the unjust aggressor in news clips. Tossing sandwiches could make them look ridiculous too.
