Welcoming help is one thing. Liz Cheney helped nothing. If anything, her sharing a stage w Harris turned off many in that base she should have been concentrating on. Don't get me wrong, I think Harris did an AMAZING job given the situation, and supported her fully, but Cheney was a bummer.

PS Liz Cheney is most definitely NOT an ally. Just for the record. Liz was playing the "I'll be here as the reasonable R to pick up the pieces once trump implodes" game. It was for HER. She's never been an ally to the democratic base.

Say that to the thousands of "white" liberals including here to defend her as heroine while whitewashing her record. And then they accused you worse. 100% agree. And this is perhaps one of the main issues of current USA politics. The lack of congruency.

The problem you have is of your own making. You can't forgive anyone who was against you. Nobody said Liz Cheney was turning Dem or anything. She showed up for America against DJT. You need to accept that kind of support based on a mutual fight against a tyrant.

And we need to accept that Harris BARELY lost, and the realization that pandering to the far right (which Liz is) might have, possibly could have, been the difference. I mean, we know for sure it didn't put her over the top. She lost. Seems odd to keep arguing the merits of a losing strategy

Have it your way. Support for your side will not grow because you push people away and you'll complain about it the rest of your life. If you're looking for perfect people, you'll never be happy. People do things for the wrong reasons, if they see their mistakes and are accountable, welcome them.

Again, how's that working out for us?

You're being obtuse. You're talking about a D vs R situation. We are not in that situation anymore. The situation has changed and because the Ds have no power right now, they need Rs to switch. Do you get it yet?

No we don't. We need no new voters from their side. We need more of the potential voters from our side to show up on election day. This myth that we HAVE to appeal to R's is false and the reason we aren't winning.

It's doesn't mean they will have different views on other things. But at least you know they don't support a dictator. It also doesn't mean you give them the keys to the house and car either. Everyone is in a "don't trust anyone no matter what" frame of mind. That's a lose-lose way of thinking.

You disregard her sacrifice of her position in Congress. Same with Kinzinger. They at least support country over party. When people leave the cult, you need to bring them back to reality. You don't push them away or else they'll just go back to where they are accepted at the cult.
