2. Thunderbolts AKA the “Florence Pugh can carry any movie” proof of concept film. First Marvel movie I’ve enjoyed in a while. Plot was whatever but I had a good time and that’s all you can ask of a Marvel movie. More Florence Pugh movies plz!!

3. The Materialists This movie is nuts. Are we sure that the same person who made Past Lives made this movie? Everyone talks like they’re AI. No one has chemistry. [LIGHT SPOILER] A major plot point turns on someone getting that surgery in which they break your legs to make you taller. WHAT??
It was aggressively bad. Glad I’m not the only one.
That surgery is a thing that exists and that real people actually get. Needless to say, it can go terribly wrong.
The only good movie where someone gets that surgery to make them taller is Gattaca (1997).
