Immediately arrest all of them. I’m sure they could come up with charges. Failure to properly identify themselves, conspiracy to cause violence, trespassing, conspiracy to violate civil rights? Trump will demand they be released but the mayor of Chicago doesn’t work for the President.

The Police Chief works for the Mayor of Chicago. The rest of the cops work for the Police Chief. The policies of the police force are handed down through the Mayor's office. No way is the Mayor of Chicago going to lay down for an invasion by the National Guard, IMHO. This will go to court first.

I'm no lawyer, but I believe that our Constitution protects every "person". It doesn't say anything about citizenship. When you take someone into custody without due process, it is kidnapping. You can justify it any way you like. Once adjudicated, then if found guilty, they can be deported legally.
So any American citizen can just disappear someone who is in the process of applying for citizenship? Is that what you’re saying?
