People all nose spray is addictive no matter what kind. If you have to use it everyday you are addicted to it doesn’t matter what kind.

Yep! Came here to note this. The saline sprays are great and non-addictive. But the ones that are “decongestant” nasal sprays are only supposed to be used for a few days. They bury that info in small print though. I used some a few yrs ago & it ended up making me worse. Never again.

So true! When I was young I was using it after a bad cold and it turned into a vicious cycle. Could not breathe without it. Thank goodness a dr finally told me to cut it out cold turkey. It was rough 🫣

There are different types of nasal sprays: decongestant sprays, while providing immediate relief, do run the risk of rebound congestion. Saline sprays provide relief, but do not cause rebound. Steroid sprays (Flonase) do not provide instant relief; they require consistent use to work, and are safe.
