That's a really odd comparison. "Getting tax wrong" is something that everyone who isn't on PAYE has done at some point, not a moral failing. Sexual harrassment is something which is extremely bad and should be absolutely ZT.

No, there is an incentive not to go after peoples tax affairs because they are widespreads in parties and some are much worse than we think
Oh I see what you mean, sorry. Still think you're being unfair with the comparison: tax is arbitrary, basically impossible to get right, and has no morality or harm involved, whereas sexual harrassment is none of these things
I might have been too bitter but the point is more that the media and all parties have an incentive not to look too deeply at certain topic
I definitely agree - but I think/hope the decision to go after someone who non-criminally stuffed up the tax affairs for their disabled child is a very stupid one from that perspective
It's only stupid if you think there's going to be consequences, and the absolute lack of interest in asking who it was who had such precise knowledge as to give such a precise tip...
I mean in general tax stuff is just solved by people agreeing to pay it up and thats it. But for politicians theres the added issue they determine how much you pay and they make loads of money
A few years ago I would have thought there was an incentive not to lift the rock on structural anti-semitism because every party and most Labour factions had much worse racism scandals and many were worse specifically on anti-semitism...
Its not a comparison of morality but that its the sort of thing that is everywhere so its a can of worms
