For the party in general, every single person who voted in favor of funding ICE at any time in the last 25 years is not a person who is fighting fascism. That person is a fascist. Ditto Homeland Security. Likewise any policy described as "Tough on Crime". All of that got us where we are.

As the philospher said, those who don't learn history are doomed ro repeat it, and those who do learn history are dragged through it anyway by those who refuse to. Before Trump came to office, the US led the world in incarceration and police violence. That was already there, Trump didn't do it.
Before Trump entered office, the ICE was a brutal goon squad that existed to round up and deport nonwhites. The fact that they weren't getting in *your* face doesn't change that. The Drug War was created by Nixon explicitly to imprison Black people and leftists. Again, the people who did it
Admitted it. In 1994. There's zero reason other than racism to keep it going after that, like Biden did as Senator. The past inevitably affects the present. If you stopped hating ICE between 2020-24, you too have chosen the side of fascism.
