Electoralism won't save us. You can't vote your way out of fascism. Stop wasting your time and effort on a controlled opposition party and actually do something useful. Join a union. Join Food Not Bombs. Meet your neighbors and find out how you can help each other. Positive changes in the US
Have never come from voting. They've come from strikes, boycotts, riots, and other direct actions.
Absolutely do both!! Work locally!! Help people. Do everything you said and join into the local politics and participate in the political campaigns, government and elections. It’s not either/or. It’s both/and.
There shouldn’t be a separation between what the people want and need and what government provides. We have a government of the people BY THE PEOPLE, for the people. The reason it is broken is because WE THE PEOPLE have not been doing the necessary work. Now is the time.
The US government isn't broken, it's doing what it was meant to do. That's why no amount of effort put into electoralism will fix it: there's nothing to fix, it's working perfectly.
We have created it. When enough people choose to re-create it so it functions differently then it will be different. We all individually and collectively make that choice.

I’m just speaking from my experience and how it’s supposed to work. Everything is connected. We The People have more power than money when we work together. All politics is local. The oligarchs can’t be everywhere all the time. We can.
Again, the part you keep ignoring is that the Democratic Party exists to use up your energy while preventing any of that from happening. All the time you spend volunteering for the party is wasted time. Any money you send them you've thrown away. Working together for a better tomorrow in the US
Means acknowledging that the system is working as it was designed to do, and will never allow itself to be reformed from within.

At the lowest Democratic club level I don’t think there is much of top down Democratic Party involvement. At least not at our club. We have a lot a freedom.
