East of I-5 is starting to get mad. Large % of voters are either on Medicaid, use it to pay for elder/disability care, or work in jobs that depend on Medicaid funding. Pair that with immigration and the worry that there will be no one to work in agriculture & they're starting to see purple.

I simply believe, after living on the west coast and voting in CA since 1978, that mixing these three states will not automatically produce the mixture you described. There is a lot of history in these states that isn’t being considered.
