It is too bad these vacuous influencers know so little of our history. Sourdough was literally the life-bread of the westward expansion. Two things you protected in your covered wagon, coals from last nights fire, and your sourdough starter!

I used to keep a starter, as my mother and grandmother did. Got too busy to bake bread, but still appreciate the artisanal effort!
