A Jew is someone who see's someone crying, they go over and sit by them and cry. That and the Golden Rule make up my little personal religion. Couldn't always do it in my life, but I stood up when my life was in danger to save other people, a few times. I was cold in battle but not afterwards.
Your definition sounds like my idea of a good person. Battle is no place for emotions, but a moral code should be part of your system. Imagine shooting civilians waiting for food distribution. That makes you evil in my book and religion has nothing to do with that. If only it was that simple.
Thank you. It is Ethics. I cannot imagine witnessing something like that, especially with a gun in my hand. I have tried, which is more than some can say... though I was tricked into doing things, I would find out later to my horror ended up blood soaked. Can't explain. Classified.
