Greed is like water, incredibly powerful and useful when under control (e.g., personal ambition for a promotion at work), but potentially devastating, especially if you don't take basic precautions to minimize predictable damage.

I don't see greed as a good motivation. Ambition, that's a different thing. But greed is a lack of empathy. Greed is a selfish trait. People need to learn how to be compassionate and share resources. Especially Americans. The most spoilt nation to ever exist.
