My friend is a nurse at a VA clinic. She sees Vets come in with their MAGA merch on and works with a MAGA nurse. If this clinic closes down they will have to drive 30+ miles for an overcrowded clinic. Vets have been more subdued lately and not wearing their merch as much. FAFO

As a former VA RN I can vouch for the excellent service provided. That said, the VA beneficiary population is, probably, the most diverse on every level. The work is intense and requires great skill and commitment. It takes special people to work for VA.

I had no service-related disabilities, always had company sponsored healthcare, so never used VA. But the VA was one of my customers, and I was always impressed with the doctors, the nurses, the technology, the absolute commitment to veterans. No surprise Draft-Dodger Donnie is betraying them .

My father was in VA care earlier this year and passed away. And while I know the doctors and nurses did their best, the delays to get tests and results prevented treatment in time to treat his condition.

I can tell you one place they are going is community health centers since CHCs have lost so much funding and more are uninsured or care is not being compensated so they have been doing veterans care to get some of those dollars

I no longer bother the VA hospital for my needs. My eye doctor departed and now it'll be a year before I will see another one. I blame only one asshole for this.

Can't even get into mine, so I use the military as a retiree ( and because of my kids). But trying to get appointments there is darn near impossible also. So, they refer you out. But, just like everywhere else ( and about to get worse) there's a healthcare shortage. They want us sick or dead.

At 65, the military medical system kicked me out and said your now on Medicare and my Tricare became part D. So now I'm paying for my twice taxed Medicare (thanks to Reagan) and paying a monthly Tricare premium. I'm going to go with they want us dead. We're now considered liabilities on the system.
