A lot of the arguments are technical, but to me the more compelling ones are conceptual. We can know that Shabbat is greater by a few reasons: It is compared to creation and to the world to come. It was first in intention, in creation, and is bride to those for whose sake the world was created.

Yom Kippur may be about righting the relationship of Knesset Yisrael with God, but Shabbat *is* that relationship. Yom Kippur exists for the sake of Shabbat.
It's a part of the world to come also!
