You want the rabbi to organize or to support the event? Probably you should approach the synagogue board instead of the rabbi to plan an event. It’s usually very easy to convince a rabbi to support a Jewish dating event. Also, wait until after Sukkot. Rabbis are so busy in Elul/Tishrei.

Yeah… depending on the size of your shul that might not be the rabbi’s job. Maybe she would MC the event or put in some time planning it, but just asking her to do it is a pretty big ask depending on her job description. Usually there’s a committee.
