Lack of good public education is a huge problem. Republicans have always resented an informed electorate; their war on public schools is now delivering the results they sought.

I went to Prague in 2016; a tour guide said when he was grew up his parents took educated jobs (dr and teacher) even though the manufacturing jobs paid more That made it obvious to me - an uneducated public is easier to control That’s why the Soviets - and now the MAGA US - demonizes education
