It's just easier to mute. I go check my mute list periodically and if the politics stuff has cooled off I unmute. I'm active with it.

Kinda wish bluesky had a "see less of this" option.

Idk if you've had this experience but when I unfollow people they show up on my feed even more, so this advice really wouldn't even work.

I'm not sure what feed you're using, but the default one is the "Following" feed.
