I’m thinking a forensic analysis. A recount of corrupt data will likely reveal the same result

Most states have printed ballots. Reading the ballots might have been corrupt but the original marked ballots will be true. A perfect example of the necessity for printed ballots to be stored for re-counts when necessary.
