Only the current generation. We've had vaccines for centuries now. Vaccine usage was over 90% in the 1980s. The difference now is that we have a converted effort to cast doubt on vaccines, science, truth, a common reality itself. Conservatives are doing this.

It all feels very much like the tobacco debate from I guess the seventies. Cast doubt on the research, if pressed use mealy mouthed phrases like "I don't believe tobacco is harmful " - can't sue an executive for his belief. Oil companies learned from the failure of Big Tobacco.
